us a preview of what his priorities will be. >>> in other news, including the newtown school massacre, the cycle of funerals and grief sends endless. three more children and three teachers were laid to rest today, including the principal, dawn hochsprung. and one more burial we're learning more about, adam lanza's first victim. deborah fay rec deborah feyerick is monitoring that. >> reporter: nancy lanza was lay i had to rest today. the chief of police, a close friend of the family, grew up with nancy and her brother who was on the police force, the chief is telling us that in fact there was a private service for family only. they didn't even invite friends. it was a very small service at an undisclosed location. she was buried. in fact, adam was not buried with her. that's still in discussion. if that happens, if he joins his mother at some point, it's not going to be for many months. but the mother, as you say, his first victim, she was buried today. this is the home where she died. shot four times in the head by her son. this, wolf, came after she had been away for three days. when

's the task force president obama commissioned in the wake of the newtown tragedy. vice president joe biden will hold his first official meeting today. the group will develop proposals aimed at reducing gun violence in the united states and must put together a set of recommendations by january. cabinet members joining biden on the panel include attorney general eric holder and education secretary arne duncan, homeland security janet napolitano and health and human services katherine seen liss. the brady campaign to prevent gun violence says it will continue pressing the issue. the group is out with a new public service announcement saying we're better than this. >> we're better than a nation with mass shooting. >> we're better than 32 more gun murders every day. >> we are better than the nation that allows convicted felons or people who are dangerously mentally ill to go to gun shows. >> to go on the internet and buy as many guns as they want without any background check. >> the psa is part of an overall campaign that will feat

. >> absolutely. >> bill: speaking of newtown we have seen, of course, as we started this conversation yesterday, we've seen far far far too many of tragedies but this one really seems to be the game changer. the game changer because again these are kids, these were first graders, these were 6 and 7-year-olds. and the idea that this gun violence this gun rampage has reached that far into a first grade classroom into an elementary school has shocked us all beyond belief. so yesterday, more and more voices coming out saying we have to do something about gun violence in america. but this wild west culture of ours. you had the voices that have always been there on this issue senator dianne feinstein and senator chuck schumer and good for them they've been steadfast on this issue. but you also had what was news was new voices being heard. voices who are known as being totally nra supporters and total second amendment supporters and pro gun senators. starting with senator joe manchin from west virginia. conservative democrat.

for the newtown bee, and she was one of the first people to get on site. she came right after the first 12 policemen arrived, and she took this picture through her windshield, and it's just an amazing picture. you can just imagine these kids. they have been practiced. they've done this. this is the protocol. you know, the congo line. they all put their hands on each other's shoulder. the one in the front has to keep his eyes open, and it's so heart breaking. >> so many do seem to be keeping their eyes closed, which the teachers said don't look, don't look. >> what about the next one? the tornado in texas? >> the tornado in texas, isn't this the most incredible? this was made, again, through a windshield by a photographer, and it was -- it became so iconic the next day it was one of the -- on 17 front page pictures -- front page papers. it's just amazing. >> wouldn't you get off the road real quick if you saw that coming from the windshield? >> the juxtaposition, you rarely get to see the sides of the car. it's on its way. this guy is not a full-time photographer. he is a jack of all trades
